Multi-sided glue joint bits make joining up multi-sided projects easy. Columns barrels and planters to name a few will grace your décor with minimal effort. Using this bit you will only need to cut one end as opposed to two (such as with miter joints) reducing cutting time in half! This bit is designed to cut at the correct angle providing extra gluing surface and a strong mechanical joint. When glued together the routed end hugs the mating piece preventing any slippage. Edges can be cut either flush or protruded then sanded down later to the desired finish. Two flute carbide cutters & 1/2 shank. Construct various sized chests and cases with 6 8 12 or 16 sides. Easier and stronger than mitered joints because these joints self align and provide lots of gluing surface. Also only one edge of the stock needs to be routed in order for the joint to work.
